Afghanistan:
Movement for Support of Quality Education in Afghanistan (MSQEA)
The coalition, MSQEA, has met with Education Minister Wardak in order to discuss the replenishment conference and how best to sustain and increase support for education in Afghanistan. The Minister has confirmed his attendance at the conference and has also agreed to participate in the Fund the Future lobbying campaign. The coalition has sent through letters to the French and Japanese Ambassadors in Afghanistan to increase pressure on these countries to live up to their promises on education.MSQEA is also aiming to mount a media campaign around the conference and has begun to speak to the press on this issue. A TV debate on education financing will be organised through a national channel with representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Education participating.
Bangladesh:
Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE)
The campaign in Bangladesh is lobbying donor countries by contact their embassies in Bangladesh. They have already arranged a meeting with the Education Minister to work with them in their lobbying efforts.Burkina Faso:
Coalition National Education Pour Tous
As one of the countries likely to be hit hardest by the potential withdrawal of bilateral support by donors, the campaign in Burkina Faso has been extremely active. Coalition representatives, including co-ordinator Tahirou Traore, met with the Education Minister on Monday 24 October to discuss the objectives for the events during the Copenhagen conference. On Thursday 27 October they met again to share ideas and develop common arguments. Tahirou Traore will be attending the conference on behalf of the coalition, and Education Minister Ms. Koumba Boly-Barry will be speaking at the GCE opening session in Copenhagen.Egypt:
Arab Network for Human Rights and Citizenship Education
The campaign in Egypt is meeting with the education minister and is asking for support in lobbying donor countries. They are also planning to lobby through the embassies of donor countries.Canada:
Canadian GCE Alliance
Canadian and UK MPs have sent a joint letter to Minister Oda to encourage attendance and pledging, but there is no new information or commitment as yet.Denmark:
The Danish NGO Education Network
The new Development Minister (and host of the GPE conference) has committed to being first to attend the Civil Society zone during the event and raise awareness about it amongst other ministers.Gambia:

The Gambian coalition will be participating in the conference. The education minister has been contacted and is willing to participate in the lobbying campaign.Germany:

So far there is a government commitment of 5-7 million Euros, but this does need to be further accepted by budget committee meeting which takes place after Copenhagen.Haiti:
Regroupement Éducation Pour Tous/Toutes (REPT)
The Haitian coalition will be participating in the conference, represented by Josue Merilien who will speak about the challenges of shaping a good education system in a fragile state.Kenya:
Elimu Yetu Coalition
The effect of the dwindling funding for Education in the African Countries has already started to show particularly in Kenya where the sector is reeling from the increased demand for education due to the growing awareness among the population and encouraged by constitutional changes that made education for all a basic right.The Elimu Yetu Coalition is supporting the concerted efforts to lobby countries in the north to honour their commitments as well as to increase their contributions to the sector. The Coalition is pushing the Kenyan government and lobbying ambassadors of the major donors who are represented in Kenya.
EYC representatives have also met with Minister for Education, Hon. Prof Sam Ongeri, to talk about the replenishment campaign. The Minister confirmed that a delegation that will participate in Copenhagen and the coalition has worked together with the delegation to prepare some of their documents.
In general, the coalition is working with other non-state actors to push the ministry and other state actors to make sure that the momentum of the new Kenyan constitution results in sustained efforts to implement a new bill and national policy of education.
Malawi:
Civil Society Coalition for Quality Basic Education
The focus of the Malawian campaign has been on the consequences of the UK leaving the education sector. As such, they have created a report on the impact of this and are lobbying the UK government directly.Mongolia:
All for Education! Mongolia National Education Coalition
The coalition has been lobbying the embassies of donor countries as well as targeting the World Bank. A media campaign has been launched with briefings and information sent to print and TV outlets. The coalition has translated the press release on the Fund the Future report and met with the press to discuss the campaign. Lobbying work on key donors will be continued.Nepal:

The coalition is lobbying the authorities for increased commitments on education.Sudan:
Sudanese Network for Education For All (SNEFA)
SNEFA is running actions at the ministerial level with the Ministry of Education and Public Education of Sudan by meeting the Secretary of State, Professor Souad Abdel Razek, and discussing with her the new global partnership for education.She has called on all of civil society working in education, UN agencies including UNICEF, UNESCO and other international organizations as well as the private sector to attend the meeting in order to have a discussion on funding for Education For All.
SNEFA has also lobbied the World Bank, and will be attending the Global Partnership for Education Replenishment Conference in Copenhagen.
Somaliland:
Somaliland Network on Educaiton for All (SONELFA)
There is limited donor investment in Somaliland, but some key funders play an important role for the education sector. Since the government declared Free Primary Education (FPE) there has been a huge demand and hence as desparate need for increased funding.The coalition is in dialogue with the Minister of Education and will attend the Copenhagen meetings.
Spain:
Campaña Mundial por la Educación en España
Low level of government representation is expected at the conference but Spain is still committing 20mill Euros in the first year (2012).Follow 'Fund the Future' in spanish here
Timor Leste:
Timor Leste Coalition for Education
The coalition is participating in a lobbying campaign, directing its efforts towards the US and Japan as well as the World Bank.United States

GCE-US
The GCE-US campaign has been running for several weeks, gaining much coverage in the media around the Education For All act.The House of Representatives has sent a letter to the administration asking for a pledge at the conference.
As part of the GCE-US campaign, you can call on President Obama to stand with other donors and support the Global Partnership for Education with a three-year, $375 million pledge at the Education for All replenishment conference here
