What does 8 Billion Dollars buy?

Well, you could buy four percent of the TV screens bought in 2010

Or three days worth of cigarettes for every smoker in the world.

Or it could change the future for millions of children by giving them the chance to go to school and learn.

Fund the Future: Education Rights Now is a civil society campaign co-ordinated by the Global Campaign for Education which works to achieve education for all. GCE brings together national education campaigns and international NGOs in over 100 countries; together, we hold governments to account to deliver the right of everyone to a free, quality public education.

Since our formation, 40 million more children have been able to go to school, and a financing mechanism (the Global Partnership for Education) has been established to help meet the education goals. Yet with close to a billion people being denied their right to an education, the fact remains that quality education for all is still far from reality. Find out more at www.campaignforeducation.org
